Infliction Update 2.3 and more localisation

Next week I’ll be adding Russian, French and Japanese subtitles and interface to Infliction as part of update 2.3. This will bring Infliction's languages up to six along-side English, Simplified Chinese and German. I’m always so excited to bring new languages to Infliction. It represents the opportunity to expose more people around the world to my game.

Update 2.3 also adds new quality of life improvements (like a level select as shown below), new sound effects, game-pad rumble, new clues, optimisation, fixes, some minor tweaks and more. The majority of these additions are a direct result of player feedback. I’ve really enjoyed engaging with the community. Their feedback has been such an invaluable resource when it comes to making improvements to Infliction. The game is far better then it was when it launched and I owe it to the loyal player base.

Update 2.3 marks the 7th update to Infliction since its launch 4.5 months ago and I think update 2.3 is the largest update besides 2.0 thus far. 2.3 is also extremely stable from a bug perspective and I’m really happy with the progress.

So, what’s next? I’d like to add at least a few more languages. I’m not ready to announce what the languages are just yet but as with this update, I’ll be excited to make the game more accessible. I’m also working on the console port of Infliction. It’s taking me a little bit longer than I would have liked but I am a one-person team. I also wanted a really strong foundation to port from. I’m also working on a small, unannounced side project so keep your eyes peeled for that!

A huge thank you to everyone that has supported Infliction in one way or another. Nothing goes un-noticed and everything is appreciated.

Cheers,

Clinton.
