Aquatica: Gensys is a research company dedicated to finding cures for human disease through experimentation on Aquatic life. That’s what the company tells the public at least. In truth, the company was brought in to research old alien biology they have found on the Siberian Shelf in the Arctic Ocean. Much to the surprise of the general public, AquaLabs recently won a military contract. Only people at top levels know the specifics of the contract but the scientists working at Gensys speculate that the military plans on using their specimens as a biological weapon.​

Aquatica was developed as a single level rather than a full release game due to this being an assignment submission.

The level was developed from concept to its current state in around 10 weeks using Unreal Engine 4.
